Tile Drainage Boost: A Win for Northern Ontario Farms
Good news for the farms around us: the Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance just got $1 million to work on an 1,800-acre tile-drainage project right here in the Timiskaming–Cochrane region.
What does that mean? Better drainage means longer growing seasons and more stable soil for crops. It's the kind of project that helps farmers plan ahead and grow stronger, season after season.
When our farms do well, our whole community does well. Whether it's the food on our tables or the families who work the land, this kind of investment matters.
